Research Questions
In this stage we will be turning our Functions into research questions we can ask nature.
What do we mean by a Research Question?
In Natural Entrepreneurs, a Research Question is one we can answer by looking into nature.
What do I need to do?
We need to ask nature questions it can answer. This might sound strange. If we ask nature ‘How to design a bicycle helmet?’ nature cannot answer because there are no helmets in nature. But if we ask ‘How does nature absorb impact?’ this it has lots of answers. So, we need to make sure we are asking questions nature can answer.
Take the Functions you identified in the previous step and turn them into questions. For example:
- How does nature ... (store water)?
- How does nature ... (move energy)?
- How does nature ... (add your function here)?
These are questions nature can answer. Avoid questions which are too specific or human focused such as:
- How does nature build houses?
- How does nature produce chemical free paint?
